I was just about to say, has no one heard of Bluetooth?

Surely you could couple the output of the Laserbee to a bluetooth TX module? then with the appropriate software read it on Android?

IOS is useless as its bluetooth is A2DP only.

Nope, actually the data logging for iPhone works. You need to open the port to do it.
on Android I believe it is left open.

Fair play, but the IOS is such locked down junk anyway, Android would be a better choice.

Hmmm...It's a very interesting idea.... :pop:
Any developers here?

Jim

I don't develop apps but I have experience with iOS aps. Given the fact that iOS is very restricted, it would be very possible on a jailbroken iPhone or iPad! All you too to do is get a usb to apple converter

I have been thinking about this since I bought my 3.7USB.. I want to get a 7inch tablet with a normal usb port and attach the lpm to it so it is more portable than carrying round a laptop. Only thing is I need android/Linux lpm software.. That is all we need, the software.. Forget about blue tooth as pretty much every tablet already has a usb port. The only other thing I can think of is getting a windows tablet..
