Hey guys just want to show off a little build I completed today. I recently bought and Ophir 20c and wanted to build it into a nice clean little box, so I didn't have to have a rats nest of wires and DMM laying around. So that just what I did.
Parts:
Ophir head
Project box (radio shack)
Dpst switch
4 1/4 volt panel
3x9v and battery clips
1 lm7508 to drop voltage to volt panel
Male and female USB cable

Isn't nothing really complicated but its a nice little clean accurate unit. Hope you guys enjoy.

Re: Ophir 20c LPM build

Looking good. I like your USB port as 4 signal wire for the Ophir head.
I have just finish my own LPM couple of minutes ago with the same head. :)

Re: Ophir 20c LPM build

Right, you me and offroadfreak all just got one. I'm glad I was still able to get one. I calibrated my old lpm and am about to put it on the BST section, all it needs is a switch and volt panel and it will be all set.

Re: Ophir 20c LPM build

Very nice! I'm glad to see all the new LPMs :) I like the use of the USB.

Re: Ophir 20c LPM build

Yeah thank, I've got lots of cables laying around so I cut up a USB extension cable and just so happens it has 4 wires, 2 for power and 2 for signal. It was a perfect fit.
