No access to any LPM owner; what's the most accurate and easiest to make DIY LPM?

I thought about making one from a DIY post but I'd rather just save a little and get an accurate and reliable one from Lasersbee or Hyperion.

It will only confuse a beginner into thinking
a thermometer is a Laser Power Meter Sensor
which it is not...:yh:

Well, it essentially is, at least when it measures the difference in temperature across a known thermal resistance, very similar how you would use a voltmeter with a shunt of known electrical resistance to measure current.

The problem is mostly that 'known thermal resistance' which you cannot purchase like a know electrical resistor you can use as a shunt to measure current by looking at the voltage across it.
