Awesome LPM you made there Kot.. I was about to build mine but unfortunately i had invested in a new and bigger project so its pending to the next paycheck :D But this makes me motivated further to make one asap :D

Can you suggest me a decent source for these i can't seem to find them below $200.. I think that's the cheapest i could get though..

I think this is the same seller , he had ended the listing after selling some and he re-listed the remaining ones now..

He says they're new so i think they will not have +2 or +8 tolerances.. Thanks all for input.. :wave: I'm going to get one now..

I'll take about the PM here since I think others should see this.

I don't know of another source for them, they pop up on ebay occasionally.

I don't think Ophir will re-calibrate them, or if they sure they probably charge a lot since these heads are almost 1k new.

I could've also just gotten a crap head, who knows.

It's not just uncalibrated, but it needs a curve adjustment too I think.

I have added the datalogging module from Arglaser. My LPM case is large enough to accomodate the Arduino board. I am still using the LasersBee software for analysing the data.

The difference between a fast response LPM and a slow LPM is stunning. The testlaser is the Skylaser PL532-700.

Nice job of fitting that PCB into your LPM...

The graphs do look good using our full featured EagleEye™
software :beer:

Your DPL-700 Laser seems to read a bit higher on the
LaserBee 2.5W LPM than with the OPHIR head.

BTW... that is one huge Data Logging PCB. I can't see it
fitting into an Alpha or LaserBee A.

The Arduino board is pretty big. Looks like my LPM case was prepared for such add-on. :)
It won't fit a smaller case. Maybe there are micro Arduino boards in the community.

Don't you ever sleep ? Your post is very early in the morning in Canada time :p

It doesn't have to go onto an Uno, it can go one of of these guys ;) Reducing the size to 0.73" x 1.70"

In fact it can go on any Arduino product that supports I2C, or even just a bare atmega328p, it can be shrunk down into a tiny form factor, that's why it's open source, so that people can fit it into any application. :beer:
I'm just selling them for the Uno at the moment because that is what I think is easiest for other people to understand.

That ebay seller is fine, the Ophir was reading perfectly against a Coherent Fieldmax. Turns out it was my LBII off calibration.

The powersource of the datalogging has been changed. Using the 9V line of the Ophir head could create a voltage imbalance. The red wire Vin goes now to the 6V pack.

If you are looking good you can see that there is two black wires from the datalogging board. For the sensor wire and the 6V wire.

We'll be comparing it to our brand new FeildMax II-TO
recently purchased directly from Coherent..

Well, from my own testing it looked like it was reading appx. 10% low, but yes, the real test will come from comparing it to a brand new professional meter.
