Default anyone have info on this LPM?

I found this on ebay but can't find any info on it and the seller doesn't know anything either.
Is anyone familiar with this LPM? ie- What power is this rated to? Can the thermal pile be replaced if it is damaged or tired? Would you buy this?

I wouldn't buy it, $115 is quite a gamble for an unknown. Especially since the radiant LPM's are $100.

I recommend the Radient x4, I haven't seen one as cheap that is this good.

If I ever get the time, I plan to attempt to make an android graphing app for it.

I've been watching the website that sells the Radient x4 but they have been sold out for a while now. Is the maker a member here by any chance? Id love to know when they will be back in stock.

I was told the Radiant x wouldn't be back in stock until next year. They look nice but the 25 response time to 95% bothers me.

That's great news ARG I will keep checking back. Will you make an announcement on the LPF's? I've been wanting a LPM but can't afford a 3W capable Laserbee and all the Sciencetech LPM's on ebay are either too much $, sketchy, broken, or all the above. I met up with and used the Greaterwatts Sciencetech and was amazed how fast that unit measured the power. It was literally a few seconds.

There will be a new sale thread for the new LPM's once they go up for sale over at illumination supply

The X4's will only be back in limited stock, but there will be plenty of the new (and improved) units.

That LaserMate appears to be a low power LPM, maybe 99.99mw max.

Since you are more interested in the X4 which can measure up to 3.7 watts (10mw to 3700mw), I offered $40 but they countered 100.00. The amount I offered was far less than their listed price from assuming it is only for low power lasers, due to the lens. If someone is into low power pointers, this might be just what the doctor ordered and possibly measures down to a single mw or less, but I have no idea how accurate a meter like this can be.

They responded to my suggestion to see what it does with a small laser pointer and emailed this photo confirming it is likely limited to below 100mw:

For the X4 (currently OOS): Radiant Electronics X4 3.7W Laser Power Meter - Radiant Electronics - Laser Components & Tools

Cool Alaskan, That's good to know. Yea Im going to wait for the Radience to be back in stock. I check ebay regularly for a Sciencetech LPM. I used Thegreaterwatts a few weeks ago and couldn't believe how fast that thing measured the output. It was less than 2-3 seconds and measures up to 20W. He got it for a killer deal but so far I can't find one under $450. The thermopile alone can be as much as a $200-300.

I have a Molectron (Now Coherent) EPM 2000 LPM with a 300 watt head which will measure down to milliwatts, works fine for all of my stuff but I don't believe the response time is near that fast, important when measuring the power of a DPSS which drifts to know what you are really measuring, the drift of the laser, or the time it takes the meter to catch up. I use my 2 watt Laserbee most of the time due to ease of use, don't have a bench set up at home yet and it takes up less space on the table top in the kitchen, lol. I have the rest of my electronics test gear set up at work, bad place for it to be for doing anything at home.
