why no 2.2A 16.8mm round driver

I missed this thread.

Someone linked me to it just now as ive been doing a custom round version for them but iam glad they did because for the passed month Plus Ive been getting requests over and over probebly at least 50 diffrent requests for me to bring back the Round X-Drives. There was a Reason why i stopped selling these but now adays Yeah you know the rest..


Do to popular request iam going to bring back the Round X-Drive Line again for anyone that wants it..


I have about 10 different version in the Round X-Line. There is the standard sizes 16.8mm,20mm,21mm etc then the flat bottoms with and without copper and then the pot ADJ ones..


I re ordered all of them for thoses that want to use them.

People always liked how i have many versions to choose from. I know being a builder that there is never 1 driver that works for everything. So i do my best to make all versions that people have requested in the past either as a custom request or to change the size for there project i try to make them all available.

There will also be 4 more version that have a pot. Though to be honest most of the New members that do not know "Lasers" well do better with Fixed drivers so i like to stick to those. But i will bring them back to for anyone that wants them.


There is Nothing wrong with Osh Park boards. Your not going to gain anything in performance other then you can change the color of your boards and thickness.. Other then that there is No difference.

It wont increase the price on any of "My Drivers" if i did change as using another PCB board house is pennis more or even less no one would have to worry about me putting the price up. So It will not effect Pricing. But iam just saying its really not Worth it. The only thing that i like is i can change the color of the board. The Thicker boards are also a nice touch. But i wont change it for those reasons. Most of the people like the thicker boards anyway. Thicker vias too. Plus laen is a great guy.


ALL X-Drive Rounds are same price as the standard X-Drives.

But here is just a quick look at the round versions. These are Just stock photos that i had on my computer there are slight looking changes to the boards but its just little stuff. Like the text etc....




This is the standard 16.8mm round version that everyone remembers i used to sell. It has contacts on the bottom so it makes it easy to pop into a pill:



Then We have the 16.8mm flat bottom with Copper Exposed under the chip so you can heatsink it flat. This was Popular request as many like it on the SXB-2:

Now i also know alot of you guys have asked me to put together 1 thread or 2 threads of all the drivers i have to make easier to see.

What i think iam going to do is Make 2 threads one for X-Drive and the other for X-boosts and take pictures of each drivers and any info needed under them.

I think by doing that it will solve any confusing that someone might not think a certain driver is available when it is.

Hey, so there's a bit of a delay with the round boards from SuvivalLaser. I found a flaw in the board design, which means I'll have to reorder boards to get the fixed version out. That means another few weeks Sorry guys.

On the bright side, Angelos seems to be back, so that means you guys can get some boards from him while you're waiting!
