Hi everyone,

As the title says, I'm looking for some high-quality cells available in Canada. I'm hesitant to use eBay or most other sites in case they are counterfeit. Any recommendations are appreciated. I know about Lighthound, but am wondering if there are cheaper/higher capacity sources.

Thank you!

subscribed incase you find someone.

I did not and had to order them in from LarryDFW here on the forums, they are real Panasonic cells and shipping was fast.

I have also use Illumination Supply to order Panasonic and Sony cells and they are authentic cells and have fast shipping as well. I haven't paid duty/tax on batteries from either larry or IS, just fyi.

Ok well there are a couple of companies that I use. One is MackOutdoors - Your Canadian Online Outdoor Specialists . They have great customer service. The other site I use is HID Canada ? HID Canada - High Intensity Discharge Lighting . I bought my I4 charger from them and they have some really good batteries. I know there are more but these two are legit and they ship to newfoundland ! lol

Thank you for letting me know about these sellers! I haven't heard of these brands, does anyone know how Tenergy, EagleTac and Fenix compare to Sanyo, Panasonic, and Samsung cells?

Stick to Panasonic, Sanyo, Samsung or LG cells.

They have been tested to UL 1642 stringent safety standards,

which include many different types of abuse.

Thanks, I didn't know exactly what separated those three from the rest until now. I'm looking for 16340's and 10440's, any idea what manufacturers are reliable for that?

I just bought 2 16340 batteries from Nitecore. I couldn't find any 16340 batteries by Sony, Panasonic or Samsung (Using amazon and ebay). Didn't know there were LG ones though, should have tried looking for those. Anyway, I picked up some 16340/RCR123A batteries by Nitecore, the company that makes the nice charger I was recommended by LPF. Thought that if they made awesome chargers, I might try their batteries out and see how good they are. I have not tested them though cause my laser is still shipping. I just bought them cause its a company I actually recognize.

Edit: These batteries have an integrated battery overcharge and discharge protection circuits and claim >500 charge-discharge cycles. So around 127 hours of laser use (15 minute run times). Hope this helps!
