I have a Guidesman-host 445 and I know it can take 22600 and 22650 li-ion batteries. I couldn't find any on eBay, lighthound, or batteryjunction. I also searched LPF and couldn't find an answer. Where is the best place to buy them and a charger?

Whoops, maybe LarryDFW doesn't have them at all, it may well be a delusion of mine.
I dunno, just remembered something like that.
Recently someone donated a 22600 for a prize, maybe host of the year 2010,
I thought it was him.....

Hi Guys;

I have a few 'pull' #26650 Sony cells, but nothing 22mm in diameter.

Of course, plenty of #18650 cells.

The 18650 cells are produced in much higher volumes,

and have almost the same capacity now.

Edit: I read 22650 as 26650 which is what I was looking for. Still wondering about a charger.

Wow. Perfect timing on this thread. I was going to try and source some batteries for the saik monster I ordered. I found this site in one of DTR's (I think) posts after a bit of searching.

LiMnNi Rechargeable 26650 Cell: 3.7V 4000 mAh, 10A rated 14.8Wh - UN Approved (NDGR)

I do have one more question about these. What do you use to charge them? Would the WF-188 work? WIsh I'd just spent the cash on that one first so I wouldn't have the pile of charges laying around that I've managed to amass.

I was thinking maybe there should be a sticky or roundup thread about where to get non-standard LiIons and what chargers work with them.

I do have one more question about these. What do you use to charge them? Would the WF-189 work? WIsh I'd just spent the cash on that one first so I wouldn't have the pile of charges laying around that I've managed to amass.

I think you mean the WF-188 charger and yes that charger will charge most any battery you will ever use in this hobby. I use them for my RCR2 batteries up to my 32650's.

Here is a cool pic.

Batteryspace is a good source for the 26650 but if you don't buy in bulk they will kill you with the standard $9 shipping and lighthound has them as well for $16 + $7 shipping. Also you can find them here C (26650) Lithium-ion Battery_Battery | Charger_ as well but their minimum shipping is $40. Anyway I have a few if you need one quick. Just shoot me a PM.

Cool. I might have to hit you up for one down the road. I've decided that my guidesman 445 needs "more powah!" so I'm going to move it into the saik and for grins and giggles add a second flex drive. Unfortunately it's gonna be awhile before I can get the second driver, battery, and driver for it plus the host isn't going to be here for a couple weeks.

Thanks for the charger info too. You're right I meant 188. I always want to call it the 189 for some reason. You caught me before I edited the post. :p

A lot here about 18650's and 26650's, But, PLEASE good sirs, I would like to use 22600's (22mm * 64mm) in HotLite hosts (25mm inside diameter), good fit and 3Ah. I found what looks like a good deal on UltraFire 2 packs at Kaidomain.com and made an order. Since read unpleasant reviews of thier service and sure enough, my order is backordered. Anybody got a good source for 22600 (pref @ 3000mAh)? I only found one on eBay ($20 for a 2 pack with $20 shipping, sounds alittle rich to me).
Any sources, or sugested replacement at same size, would be greatly appreciated!
