Yes it should be fine. Charges my 18700 Xtar battery without issues.

One more question about the Ultrafire charger:

Do those user-selectable settings on the charger make it safe from overcharging unprotected batteries?

thanks

Re: Ultrafire, I wouldn't purchase their chargers or batteries. They make some decent flashlights/host though.

Re; 26650 batteries I have read good reviews on the Protected King Kong 4000mah $9.47 each (link) I don't have any devices that use this size so I can't offer first hand experience. I have used this supplier before and they are good.

A lot here about 18650's and 26650's, But, PLEASE good sirs, I would like to use 22600's (22mm * 64mm) in HotLite hosts (25mm inside diameter), good fit and 3Ah. I found what looks like a good deal on UltraFire 2 packs at Kaidomain.com and made an order. Since read unpleasant reviews of thier service and sure enough, my order is backordered. Anybody got a good source for 22600 (pref @ 3000mAh)? I only found one on eBay ($20 for a 2 pack with $20 shipping, sounds alittle rich to me).
Any sources, or sugested replacement at same size, would be greatly appreciated!

LMAO I recently made an order on Kaidomain as well making sure all parts ordered were in stock... and they put the same 'back ordered' tag on it... and then told me (after 2-3 emails of complaints) that the GITD rubber washers that were 50 cents were back ordered. I told them to ship it anyways without the 50 cent part and the only thing they could reply was "We'll do our best to have it to you as fast as possible"

So basically, all orders are systematically tagged as back ordered, so they can give themselves 2-3 weeks before shipping your item.

Prices are good, but service is as bad if not worse than DX

I was thinking about the 188 ultrafire charger. Did you have a bad experience with it?

The Xtar cannot charge batteries larger than 18650 but the Ultrafire 188 does.
I have no experience with the Xtar but I have the 188 charger. It will charge the 3.7 Li-Ion batteries right to 4.18V. I did change the 188 charger with the wire modification. Just add a silicon wire to the leads for an extra electric path.

For even bigger batteries I use the bench PSU to charge them.

Actually the Xtar WP2 II will charge 22650's according to folks that have them. Link I don't have any 26650's to confirm but you can read the link I posted.

Forgot to mention another feature of the XTAR is the USB output port. You can charge your phone from your Li-Ion batteries through the USB output port. Cool feature if you are off the Grid.
