Hey, now i know i'm a new member and somebody is probably going to ask me if i have searched, in answer to that question yes i did but because this is quite an odd request i have been finding it difficult to find what i am looking for!

Now i am looking into a project where i have a slim but wide space for the battery driver and diode. The only trouble is getting a rechargeable battery that will power a flexdrive with a blu-ray diode that will fit.

I don't know what the best type of battery would be, or if it would be better to go with a single use type, but the dimensions i am limited to for the battery itself are 32/25/9mm
Some compact digital camera batteries are nearly the right size but tend to be too tall as the 25mm measurement is the height

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

there is a thread around here soemwhere, on battery sizes, with lots of pictures.
also, dont know if you know, but, batteries such as ultrafire, trustwire etc, if the battery name is say 18650, then the lenth is 65mm, and dont remeber the what the first 2 numbers are. anyways, look in the power supply thread, im sure it was a sticky

SarcasticStick;

I have some Sanyo flat lithium ion cells in stock .

They are 11mm thick

50mm long

and 34mm wide.

Capacity is 2000mah.

P.S. There are also some lithium poly cells in smaller sizes available.

Hi. I too am trying to fit an odd sized compartment. The best solution I've come up with thus far is 3 15xxx cells in a triangle. No holder. Will probably have to solder them in parallel and charge them with clips. In this host, these are 15270s, but I can go larger. With the cap closed, it's 42mm deep.

Of course those 15270s are 3.0v units. I'd like LiPos at 3.7v. Ideally, 15420 is the space, but need some room for connections, so 15390 or 15400. No such thing. Apparently the only 15xxx are the 270s as far as I can see. :-(

I checked this list (towards the bottom):

List of battery sizes - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I guess then maybe a pack or multiple packs in parallel / series would be a solution.

Any ideas for a space 32mm wide x 42mm deep?

Guess I could cut down that 32700 (32650 w/ protection). Not. :)

Is that host a stash spot shift knob? Very creative. I had one in my Datsun 280zx but never thought to build it into a laser

You could also buy some LiPo cells directly. They'll need a special charging adapter. This battery is almost the size you need. With two it would nearly fit the height (1mm more though).
