Hello, can someone please explain to me (maybe with a pic or diagram) how to connect 2 flexi drivers to power a 445nm diode at their drivers maximum combined current?

And after combining the 2 drivers would the input voltage also need to change? i plan on using either to 2xAAA or 2x1440.

thanks.

why can't i use those those type of batteries if i plan on using the flexidrive? is it because the 2xAAA dont have enough current? and what other AAA sized batteries are available other than the 10440's?

You will not get appreciable results with AAA or AA (liion or not). Get yourself bigger batteries (ask LarryDFW, he has good 18650s batteries with charger, >4A discharge rate).

Here is how to wire it (either of these two ways)

You will not want to set the drivers to max as this would result in ~3A and DTR tested the a140s to only be able to go to 2.1A before they shut off.

When i do dual flexdrive builds I set each to 900ma-925ma and also sink them so there is no heat issues.

As for the power source, to get the full power of the drivers that you have set, I suggest some high quality 18650s (if the host will allow it). I really recommend Larry's batteries, they cant handle the draw no problem. The cheapy Ultrafires, Trustfires, etc just wont cut it.

connect to the diode case pin allow the flexdrive to connect to the battery - (GND) ...

thanks, that makes sense now :) and regarding the battery source, what other battery is the the same size as AAA? the host i plan on using fits 2xAAA's the only other thing that comes to mind is maybe using 1xAAA and 1x10440?

@Flaminpyro
Lets hope he is a 'pyro' too.

@HTID
Stick to two high discharge li-ions. I don't know if two Li-ions AA would work, but I'm skeptic.
