Too much or too little power? Help!

I recently purchased 650nm 20x DVD burner diode.
(HighTechDealZ - 650nm 20x DVD Burner LPC815 Laser in Aixiz Module)

With help from this forum, I've narrowed down my driver choice to a Mohgasm Linear Driver. (Mohgasm Linear Driver - $12.00 : Mohgasm!, Because it feels so good.)

The seller of the laser recommends driving the diode at 380mA, so I was panning to purchase the 378mA pre-assembled driver.

My questions are: Should I power this driver with 2 or 4 3.7v Lithium-ion rechargeable batteries? What are the advantages and disadvantages of buying
driver with a higher mA rating? I plan to heat-sink the driver, so what would be the best driver/battery combination to build an effective burning laser with this diode?

Thanks in advance for the help!

Mohgasm drivers need two 3.7V batteries to run. One battery doesn't provide enough voltage.

Are you kidding ? More mA means more current and so brighter will be the diode. There is a limit how far these little diodes run. Push it too far and it will burnt out.

At 380mA the driver runs fine without heatsink
