What switches are best for laser drivers? Would a two-prong switch or a three-prong/rocker switch be best? Any help is greatly appreciated.:thanks:

That depends on what you want to do...
If all you want is a power ON/OFF function
then a Single Pole Single Throw switch (SPST)
will work.

Just make sure it has a amperage rating higher than the expected amperage load so you don't fry a switch, The weakest link will be the first to go if everything is not up to specs.....

You can find a SPST button style switch, it functions somewhat like a momentary switch if you only press it a little.

Without seeing an actual circuit....
That may be the best way of damaging a Laser Diode.

No schematic, just a switch. Just a piece of metal that touches another. Push it halfway and the contacts touch, push it all the way they lock in place. Not all SPST switches are like this, some only turn on after the button is fully depressed and released.
