Stacking up amperage with LED indicators

Hello, you of greater knowledge
I was pondering making a 445nm laser at about 1 watt and having a safety switch before the 1 amp driver with a green LED to indicate 'SHIELD YOUR EYES!' before I push the main power button.
I was wondering if I drive the first LED to its needed amperage that the LED's amperage will stack up along with the amperage from the laser diode driver.
Also, does the circuit I have here look safe and sound, or do I need to go home and rethink my life?

Putting the LED's in series won't work, as they'd have to be able to carry the current of your diode, and most drivers won't have the Vf to drive 2 diodes in series. You'd need to put them in parallel.

hmmmm... So I've set up a circuit with a dual switch for both the LD and the holy crap, it's on light. I am confused about how I can also have a safety switch which turns a green light on when the laser is armed. With my amature knowledge, the only option I have is to put it in parallel with the laser, which would suck up my energy. Does anyone have an idea about how to make this indicator work?

You have your out and adj backwards. Why are there 3 light emitting devices and which one(s) is the laser diode? What's the 1A box? Why does the blue have no ground? Why is there a pot going into the 1A box? I have no idea what you're trying to do here. Label everything and post it again.

Someone's pretentious.
I know because I explaned myself in my OP. Forget it
Look, I asked for help and said that I'm an amature electrition. It's not like a mechanical engineering student has access to background in electrical diagrams

You know what? I'm done with this site. I can't comprehend how someone who participates in a forum to make the world a cooler place would be so cold. That describes a lot of the experiences I have here. I search for days and I don't find the information I would like, but I'm not allowed to have it. I'm done.

Cy,
I don't find you pretentious, maybe an ass at times, but almost always right.

Wow another spoiled brat....

You come here with your incomplete drawings and expect us
to invent your solution without enough data supplied.
Only you know what you see in your head. It is up to YOU to
convey that info to us in a clear way.

Then when constructive criticism is offered you stomp your feet
like a 6 year old because mommy didn't kiss you boo-boo...:cryyy:

Perhaps another forum that accepts the rants of children would
suit you better.
Don't let the door hit you in the A$$ on the way out.

Your diagram doesn't make sense. If it makes sense to you, but doesn't make sense to others, it defeats the purpose of making the diagram. I Didn't call you an idiot or tell you to go away; I didn't say I was better than you and that you should go hang yourself; I asked specific questions about your diagram and I suggested specific ways to improve your diagram so that you can better communicate your problem with us. If that makes me cold and pretentious, then I am a first-rate pompous douche nozzle with dry ice underwear.

There's not really any point to using 2 indicator LEDs, as when you turn the power on, the laser diode is going to come on.

You can just put 1 in parallel on your power switch with a resistor to limit current and call it a day, incorporating time delays in lasers is a pain, and pointless in handhelds.

The same arcane information that 13-year-olds routinely look up and learn on the net? Really though, a background in this subject shouldn't even be necessary to appreciate readable and understandable diagrams.

Pass on my condolences to your mechanical engineering department.

All Abet Engineering programs require Circuits I typically with a lab. You have access to the information and to an extent will be forced to learn it.

I'd like to start off with I'm not expecting anyone to accept my apology. I wouldn't.
2 years ago, I was a freshman in college, and quite the little d-bagger. I was fresh out of high school, and still acted like it. I made a simple post which I inflated into a giant blimp of self absorbed, finger-pointing douchebaggery; and I do not use that word lightly (pardon my french). I was a jerk to each one of you on purpose, and there's no excuse for that kind of behavior: not stress or anxiety; not frustration; not misinterpretation. For what I am about to say, I wish to make it clear that I am not trying to self-righteously make you all respect me for who I am. I just want to make things right. I am deeply and wholeheartedly sorry for how I acted. I do not expect to be accepted into the community, or to be better respected. From the inside of my bone marrow, I am sorry.
