Sooooo...I recently bought a lovely 1.25w blue laser. It was lovely until the batteries died a few minutes later. Ultrafire 16340 3.7v... I've ordered some but this is going to take a few days to arrive. Where can I go, in the UK high street, to buy these batteries. This is a frustratingly slow hobby sometimes! So, er...Maplins? B&Q? Help? Thanks, people!

If you're okay with using primaries, check out camera stores for CR123 cells. They're the primary counterpart of 16340's if you really want to use the laser while the rechargables are arriving.

~50-60mAh. Dunno what kind of current you could get from those... I'd avoid 'em.

At the OP, may be able to find a Li-Ion charger capapble of charging 16340-sized lithium ion cells (may require lower rates than larger 18650 cells). In the mean time, you can get by with more expensive CR123a primaries. These are not rechargeable, and can be very price at brick and mortar shops.
