Rechargeable LiIon for a CNI GLP-589?

I bought a GLP-589 in the CNI GB #12 and I love the thing except for the fact that it sucks down primary CR2 batteries fairly fast. I can't find any documentation on the max power input for the driver. I know a full 3.6v will fry it but does anyone know if a fully charged 3v (~3.6v) will be ok or if not is there a rechargeable that will work with it and not cook the driver? I'm going to drop CNI an email but I thought I'd ask here too.

I used 3.7-4.2V RCR2s for my GLP-589 without a problem.
To be sure, I emailed CNI and asked if these batteries were ok to use and I was answered with a "yes." I would suggest asking yourself to be sure, since a >$500 investment is not something you want to destroy trying to save $20 on batteries.

The rechargeable batteries did not last very long, by the way. Maybe 10 minutes total of on and off use. The batteries I was using were some generic brand from China with green insulation.

Hmm. I'll ask them for sure because like you said I'd rather not ruin a $250 (I could only afford the 1mw one. Still love it!) laser over a battery. I have 3 rechargeable CR2s that I bought (I fail at reading) so runtime isn't an issue. If all else fails I'll just bulk order some CR2s but I hate the waste of non-rechargable batteries.

Got a reply from CNI a couple hours after emailing them saying to basically RTFM except there wasn't a FM to R. I can't find the paper it came with but I don't recall anything about max input voltage for the driver.
