I recently bought some drivers from rckstr, and there are some areas of concern. I am hoping you guys at the forum can help before i get my panties all up in a bunch and ask for new drivers.

These are not the actual photos of my drivers, because i cant seem to get them focused. But there are arrows and a detailed description. I think there might be some things shorted out, or that may affect operation and before i go ahead with one of my builds, id like to make sure things are copacetic.

I dont know exactly how attaching files in forums works, but somewhere in this thread is a pdf. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I can't tell on the last one, but the first two are fine.

Just to make sure, your saying according to the pics, or what i described? The pics are not representative of what i have, just the locations and components affected by bad soldering.

I looked very closely at a few of mine with a loupe (and you can also see it if you look very closely at the pics in your PDF) and in each case the two bridged solder points are already connected with a trace, so you shouldn't have any trouble. I doubt Ryan would send some out that were bad, I'm fairly sure he tests them prior to shipment. You should be fine.

cool... thanks for the input! I guess i will just have to test them to be sure, but i am sure you are both right. If they dont work because of the solder joints, does he take returns?

Good to know... Generally i would just fix them, but i dont have my SMC iron anymore, and even if i did, i only have one hand for a few more weeks... doesnt make for great precision. but i do have one of those extra hand things on the way! lol

I am pretty impressed with the layout and design, i think they will be great drivers for a good many projects.
