if i take a laser diode from old DVD driver and put a 3w led driver it will burn stuff?

and about optics i want to focus the beam but i am not want to buy
where i can find or get one? any idea where to look?

You need to do more reading on the forum before trying to build your laser. You have very little knowledge about anything from diodes to drivers to lenses. Take a look at the appropriate sections for those equipment and learn for yourself, as everyone else has.

Seeing as to the level of understanding you have, you clearly have not read any of the readily available information in the various sections of this forum. We won't provide you with any links because we don't spoon feed people here. You need to do your own homework.

Once you're more knowledgeable, we will gladly answer your questions.
