Yep and hooked it up to a diode and it gave me a whopping 1200mW and started dropping like a stone. It was still pulling 4.5A and the positive spring gets smoking hot. Actually burned the crap out of my finger. I am felling this is a lost cause.:cryyy:

Yep I have suffered enough damage and I am frustrated so I need to give up while I am behind before I loose a diode.:tinfoil:

I guess it is back to waiting on flexdrives for single Li-Ion 1.8A builds.:cryyy:

Point of reference - when the AK-007 driver I found hits 820mW (raw optical output), it is drawing 1.9 A.

This was a fresh charged battery (16340, trustfire gray)

Because of that build style, I can't test the mA to the diode anymore, unfortunately, just the optical output.

A very very new, untested, driver :)

I've only owned 3, so it's definitely pending some more confirmation from the community ;)

well the question is, can those AK-007's be run in parallel. IF so...thats like a 1.7-1.8A boost driver for 6 bucks.
