Question NICHIA M140 blue laserdiode driver help?

Hi i need help, i don't know what current i need for this diode but it seems to be a popular diode so i thought someone might know.I want to get the most power out of the diode.

Here is all the information i know about the diode:
NICHIA M140 Laser diode.
Maximum Output 3W.
Wavelength 360-500nm.
CLASS N laser product.

And here is a picture of the packet and diode:

All help appreciated and if anyone know's where i can buy a driver for this diode please post a link

IF it is an m140, then 1.8A seems to be the highest current people run them at... You will need a good heatsink and a good driver.
-Josh
EDIT: Depending on what lens you use and the efficiency of the diode you can get over 2W @ 1.8A

It depends on what you're using as a heatsink. For the NDB7875, maximum current is listed as 1.8A
according to the datasheet. Though I'd try counting the bond wires first unless you got it from a reputable source. I'd probably still count the bond wires out of fear of blowing the thing up. A true M140 should have 8 bond wires.

For a driver, Lazereer's X-drive is nice. cajunlasers.com
