Hey guys, I was just looking on the Nitecore site, and came across what seems to be two brand new battery chargers. :)

The D2 - http:// http://nitecore.com/productDetail.aspx?id=115
The D4 - http:// http://nitecore.com/productDetail.aspx?id=114

Has anyone seen these yet? At first glance they seem to be very good chargers.
It looks like they have the D2 (2 battery), and the D4 (4 battery) style. They claim to be able to charge Li-ion, Ni-MH, Ni-Cad, and LiFePO4 batteries.
Like most other chargers, it charges up through the 26650's, but still no 32650's.
I thought these may be worth taking a look at, considering how good the I2 and the I4 seem to perform.
I could not find the cost of these on their site; being new, and digital, probably not real cheap.

Do these add any capability beyond LiFePO4 (through manual selection)? I guess the fancy display might be helpful for something, but unless these are almost the same price, I'll stick with my trusty I2. Still, good to be aware of the new stuff coming out.

Kinda old news, there was a thread I believe here but I know there was one over on BLF a few months ago. Was a new product show; believe it was the SHOT show? There was a video explaining a ton of new products, ill see if I can dig it up

@Livinloud, It may have been posted here; I may have missed it, but I searched 3 or 4 pages back and didn't see anything. You are correct, there is a thread over on BLF about this.

As Pi says, they're starting to show up at around $40. Not cheap, and I would'nt sell an I4 to get one, but if you're in the market, and like digital, it's something to look at. :)
Nitecore's site says these were released on 5/12/2014.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the video was of the last pre-production model, figured they would have hit the market sooner but oh well.

I've heard not so many good things about the "dream" charger but then again I havent followed the massive debate on BLF about it since I am plenty happy with my i4

These nitecores are good and all but the charging current with all 4 slots occupied is very (very) slow! iirc 375mA x4 that means panasonics are going to have a good night charge and you cant even have the quick charge option etc.

Good point sinner, that is slow! You better have some fully charged back up batteries on hand to use while you're waiting.
I'll just stick with my Xtar sp2 for now.
