I got real tired of hooking up the DMM to the test rig and having the diodes get hot and possibly derate..So, I put it all on a PCB with a 5W 1 Ohm resistor, and large heatsink on the diode set, added 3.5digit Voltmeter which I received as sample from Datel years ago.. Here is what it looks like. Works flawlessly...

Hey there, I went to the local electronics store and bought 6x 1N5404 3 A diodes and a 1Ω 5 W resistor. Are these proper to build a good test load for high currents? Sorry if this is a bit irrelevant but i see you got a 5 W resistor as well. Thanks

hey i was wondering can i just use a voltimeter as a test load for my microboost driver? i doing a 1w project?
