Darkside;

Here is a graph from battery university showing the "ICR" and "IMR" types . . .
partone-5a-2.gif

IMR is the manganese type and ICR is the cobalt type.
IMR has lower Internal Resistance for higher currents,
but ICR has greater capacity for longer run times.

The "R" stands for round.

The 10amp IMR cell has a capacity of 2250mah.

The newer 6 amp ICR Panasonic cell has a capacity of 3400mah (technically a NCR cell).

Each type of cell has it's applications.

So are you basically selling the same batteries Larry? Sorry for any confusion, but I wasn't sure if that is what you are saying.

yes and no. I think Larry sells unmodified OEM cells. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but the main difference is that callies offers an IMR cell as well. Larry has the new 3400mAh ones, though, which callie doesn't have.

Just figure out what you need, and pick the battery or cell that fits your needs. I still use the classic and abundant ur18650f, since I have a decent stash of low cycle count ones harvested from a laptop battery. For high performance uses, you ought to stick to newer cells, but only one of my lights even draws more than 3A, and I rarely use it in that mode anyways.

Tom;

I am selling the Panasonic cells with the highest capacity . . .

They are only rated for ~6 amp draw.

Nothings better than visual aides. Thank You Larry

I did receive a small number of the 3400mah and 3100mah (unpro) a few weeks ago. I must say im impressed with the
Panasonic's with extreme high draw applications. A 5T6 MX-L
torch with mod high amp drive sucked 50% capacity from 4 x Pana 18650 under 8 minutes.
The 4 cells were dead cold and took a charge to 4.3v and all 4
remain perfectly matched. Best cells i have seen a long time. I
still use AW's but i'll add these to run in certain applications
