I'm having a little trouble between work and the gym and not knowing WTF :wtf: I'm doing here. LOL

I have these drivers:

$6.97 - 3.6V~9V 800mA Regulated IC Circuit Board for Cree and SSC LEDs (4-pack) - Flashlight Parts and Tools

I want to run this 405 diode:

SF-AW210 6x blu-ray laser lens assembly [M0026] - $18.99 : Modwerx Shop

Can any one PLEASE tell me or even better give me a link to the surface resistor I need to run that diode. I am getting frustrated:scowl: but still very determined!!!

I could also use a link describing the relationship between ma and mw..... I am not being lazy I am trying!!! Just thought I would send this message in a bottle out to the laser gods.:can:

Not trying to be an ass, and will help if you get stuck. Search for diode compilation and you'll find a thread with the current settings for your diode. Do you have a test load?

Only one advice, those drivers are BUCK (step down) drivers, not boost drivers ..... you need 2 Li-Ion cells, for run your BR diode, and with 2 cells, you can easily use a linear driver made with a LM1117 or similars.

Other than this, nothing too much special ..... that driver is based on AX2002, or any equivalent ..... the RSET resistor that regulate the current is the 0.27 ohm one, if i read correctly (marked R1, near the black wire), and there is an "empty space" (marked R5) in parallel with that one, so you can solder a second resistor for select different currents.

The VREF of these chips is very low, typically around 0.25V, so in that driver is already set to around 900mA, you can change the current changing the value of this resistor, or using more than one in parallel for lower values (anyway, keep in mind that this chip cannot work over 1A)

For calculate the output current, the formula is current (Ampere) = Vref (0.25) / RSET (ohm) -> in this case, 0.25 / 0.27 = 0.925 ..... for the same Ohm law, if you need to know the resistor value for a specific current, R = V / I.

If you need, as example, 200mA, then the resistor is 0.25 / 0.2 = 1.25 ohm ..... and so on ;)

Flexdrive is good, but is a bit of time that DrLava have them out-of-stock.

A possibility for use a single cell can be using a boost driver from DX, modifying it for less current (if you need it for the SF.AW210, i doubt you need more than 200mA) ..... like this one, changing the original 0.25 ohm resistor (and adding a pair of capacitors for stability) ..... the VREF of this one is 0.3V, so for 200mA you meed an 1.5 ohm resistor.

With the njg.....do you have to cycle threw all the settings everytime you turn it on ¿

It has a memory. It will return to the mode that you were using last before powering off. :)
