Hi, i was thinking about buying a green 200mW laser module and I'm seeking help. I am new to lasers and if I buy this particular how will i attach a power supply to it? What type of battery is needed for the the module and do I need a host for it?

thank you

Hi, you could use 2 regular AA batteries to power this module(note that the spring is the negative contact and the module itself is positive) , or a powersupply with 3 volts Out.For the powersupply you can use a computer PSU - get the green wire and a balck and connect them together, then take a orange cable and connect it to the brass(yellowish metal) part of the module and a black wire to the spring. For using it in a host you may need a custom heatsink
:thanks:
