Hi,,
The driver is an adjustable i see you have the contact on the test load on # 9. Try it on # 1 and adjust it from there . i don't know how your test load operate so i may be wrong. and the power of the cells should be in series . Oh if you have ESD use it handling drivers and diodes can be vulnerable to ESD charges. Just my opinion Pal..maybe some one else can chime in here don't panic , if the driver is bad Jordan is a great guy and will help you out..

Thank you, i try from 1-->9 but it only display 0.02! When i connect x-driver buck with this testload, it always display 2.37A with #9, exactly 100%
And the diode bright with 2.4a xdriver but not bright with XSD 4.5A

Your test load won't work for high current. Your 1ohm shunt will drop 4.5V at 4.5A. If you add diode drops on top of that, you're no longer accurately loading the driver.

Your wires may be too small. Your batteries may be too feeble. Your contacts may be made from the wrong material. Those jumpers for example are rated for <0.5A, not 5 amps. That resistor is rated for <3.9A. Most things I see in your pictures are just too small to handle 4.5 amps, and will all contribute to high levels of energy loss. Even if this isn't the root problem, it needs to be fixed.

Hi,
I see in the pic that you battery holder has a neg and pos on one end . Are you running your power in series or parallel. Series would be the key for this driver just a rough guess and do you use ESD protection? thats why they combine an ESD protective wrapper..

Dear,
Thank you for your reply! If my testload loss, so when i connect the diode with driver and 8.4 volt power , it is have to bright, isn't it?
But my diode dont work! My all material used for an nother 6w nubm05t always run no problem! So it is only driver's problem!
You can see my 4.5A laser in here:

Move it around, bang on it, see if it's an intermittent board connection.

Also check your connections.

DO YOU HAVE BATTERY AT THE BOARDS INPUT?

Have you turned the pot at all?

Hi,
ESD means Electric Static Discharge, when you touch an object and you get a shock. That is ESD which could possible kill the driver inn some cases. That is why they are packed in those packages which guard it from ESD. They make a wrist band that is connected to a coil wire and that wire has a alligator clip to attach to a grounded piece of metal. When wearing this devise the ESD passes through the wire and into the piece of metal and takes it away from you body.

I think I talked to him and maybe resolved. The pictures do help. The leads are very long for this type of current and look of varying size/quality as is the battery holder. Any of those could cause issues at high current. The cells seem mismatched and not sure about the types but some will shut down under this kind of load where it would power a 2.4A X-drive without problem. On the test load yes the SXD has around a 1V higher dropout than the X-drive so it is possible the unit is out of regulation but usually that just means if the margin is that close where the X-drive will power but it is not enough input voltage for the forward voltage of the load for the SXD usually it will only do a lower amount of current and you find the pot does not look like it is going past a certain point when it really is like you will turn it and it tops out @ 1A or something but really it is set much higher and will deliver when the input voltage is high enough over the loads voltage. A short is also possible but does not look like the soldering was that bad. ESD I have not seen any laser drivers kick it from ESD. I don't know but the input and output caps may protect the IC from that although it is good practice either way specially during the period the diode is vulnerable.
