OP,

No one is Missing.:san: Iam still here buddy.:san: My drivers are all still available.:san: Jeff has them, DTR Still has them and i still have them all available.

Last activity from me was a few days ago on this forum and Ive been on since then answering my backlog of pm's from my break.

Your probably referring to me being away for a couple months only from the forum though back now i was never Missing. I was still making and shipping drivers during my break from the forum very much and answering emails.

Iam not Missing or aim i ever going anywhere. The majority know that i would never leave this forum hanging or leave this hobby. Its in my blood.:)

But if you dint know that Already ill say it clear. I will never leave anyone of you friends on this forum.:) I love this hobby more then anything and i enjoy it so much that i could never leave. So please remember that if i so happen to be on a break which more then likely wont happen for some time now. I might take a Break from time to time "From doing it for 3 years straight for example" but i would never be gone or as you say Missing for good.

I missed a few PM's from some of you newer members and already this.
I think alot of times some of you really dont think about it that we also have a real world life too that sometimes can cause issues and delays for online Stuff unexpected when the real world throws a curve ball at you..

Yes I have been off the forum for a couple months but i was still active behind the forum doors very much and if it was that important one knows to email me directly or email me through the forum rather then PM. Though I am back now from that break and catching up so a direct pm is fine now also that was the way to get to me then. You could have also contacted DTR or Flyminpyro or even a mod and they would have relayed the message to me if you where not able to get to me via PM and dint know how to email someone through the forum. None the less iam here now and ill take care of you irishluck.

Alot of the old timers in this thread/on this forum can remember far back enough to know the value of a driver and what it truly means to go missing.
Most of the newer members or members that have not been on for a while do not know about it or what happened back then.

Lets talk pricing first since that seems to be an Issue here in this thread because even though RHD pointed it out pretty clearly i'd like to make a few more things clearer.

I make all my driver by hand. I do not get them done at a Fab and i still sold them cheaper then any of the other drivers that where out there. (Quality drivers) Both Bulk and in Singles. I was Always cheaper in price.

Back before We "I" (Note: i say also "we" because there was a few of use that stepped up to make drivers for the forum at that time as i was not the only one) started making drivers there where drivers being sold at $25/$26 + Pay shipping which was $3 or $5 cant remember for a 1.3A MAX current driver that where made at a fab. So you where looking at ~$30 if you where in the US more if you where overseas since shipping cost more and the drivers where limited to 1.3A each. If you wanted 1.8A well you needed to buy 2 drivers which put you at ~$50.. Remember that vets.? Wahooo $50 Bucks for a 1.8A driver setup. These driver like i said, where made at a fab not by hand Which is a hell alot cheaper and a hell alot faster to put out and sell and keep up with since all the work is done you just need to have the upfront money to place the bulk order with the fab and the rest is done.. There where only 2 drivers that where commonly used on this forum at that time. They where good drivers i have nothing bad to say about them but iam just pointing out the Pricing since that was mentioned in this thread.

So for a 1.3A driver it was give or take $30.
If you wanted 1.8A well you needed to by 2 which came out to ~ >$50.
My driver even till this day is still cheaper then that and you get double the current range for less amount of money.

When the Creator of those ^ drivers went gone (that was Truly missing in action) a few of us stepped up and created drivers to help the forum out so everyone still had something to use. If We dint i dont know what would have happened.

^SO Before we did that The previous driver maker dint care and left everyone in the dark with orders pending with no reason other then i guess he dint care anymore or family troubles. I cant remember the fine print or if there was a real reason. None the less my point was the pricing.

When i created the X-Line it started off with just one driver. The X-Drive.
It was a 3A MAX rated buck driver that was selling cheaper then 1 of the previous 1.3A MAX rated driver from the old driver maker and a hell alot cheaper then buying 2 of the 1.3A drivers when you wanted to run at 1.8A since my X-Drive was able to do 3A MAX you only needed one driver.

I have now over 20 different driver/ driver versions. Why.? To give all you laser heads options and open the doors to use any host out there. Ive made so many custom driver version for single orders i cant even count just to make there build happen and make that single order person happy.

Heck even you irishluck. I offered to make you a custom driver board with all 8 drivers on one board remember Just to make your project happen and you be happy..? Although it would not have worked because i dint fully understand what you where doing till later, my point is even you i offered that service because you came to me with a custom more unique project that has not been done as far as i know.

People where so happy that i did that for them. I started off with 1 driver but it was not enough options for the hundreds of thousand host options out there so i went from that 1 driver to 5 to 10 to 20+ different version for what? Profit.? Give me a break if you think iam making a killing here on the drivers or if re-sellers are making a killing. I probably made it 10x harder for myself making all those different driver options for you guys But i still did it because i know who guys need them. TO this day i still add new options and even new drivers are soon to be out.:shhh:

The amount of time i put into making drivers if any of you actually looked into it and see how much it costs to make a driver + add the time in to make them if i told you how much i made you would be  Sick to your stomach that i still do it for that little money and i bet the majority of you honest working people would actually want me to make more.

Bottom line is until you sit down and see what it takes to make and sell drivers, only then will you see that the $20 price range is very fair for what you get.

Why do you think no one else is doing it. Its not because they dont have the skill level to make a circuit, its the fact that its not worth the time and thats why you see driver malers/sellers come and go because it isn't worth the few bucks that we make per driver to them.

But to me i told you i dont do it for the money but for you guys. I have never left from day one in making drivers and Ive always hanged in there and supported all you guys from the beginning. All that goes out the window the second one cannot contact me or i cant answer fast enough.

I have never or will ever do it for the money. Once you do that you loose love in the Hobby. Ive seen it many times over the years. To many people fall into it thinking they will make a killing but when all said is done they burn themselves out and loose interest in the hobby. This i why i am still able to make drivers because i never let get to that and i still enjoy making driver or anything laser related just as much as i did when i first signed up.:)

Ive been making drivers for this forum by hand now for the past 3 years and Have never took a break or left anyone of you guys hanging without drivers with no good reason. The Old Vets know this. Iam a very Honorable person.

There was only 2 times where i took a break in those 3 years of making drivers.

The first when my Grandpa died and had to deal with that for about a month.(But drivers where still available)
The second time was recent now i took a couple months off just the forum as i need to deal with some personal things in the real world as well as clear any back orders i had.(But drivers where still available even by me if one emailed me.)

So in those 3 years Ive taken a few months off but always drivers where still available. (Maybe not my entire line during the entire time i was away but the majority currents needed where)

I have never increased pricing either because i wanted more money. The only time i had to increase pricing was when i made a new version that had different and more parts to it or the board where larger costing more and i only increased the price to cover the additional part price nothing extra for profit. Other then that pricing has always stayed the same.

Just because i take a break for a couple months does not mean that my drivers are gone. Like i said i was still fully active in email also they are still very available now from Jeff and DTR and a couple others and me.

Those of you that dont quit get it yet have to understand i am 1 "ONE" person making them by hand and i have over 20 different designs to make and keep up with hundreds of you laser heads eating them up. Ive been doing it for 3 years straight and although slow at times 90% of those 3 years i was fast. Doing all that with a 40 hour week job in the real world

Throw me a bone here.

Full stock of all the non regular currents will be back available with Flyminpyro very shortly. Including more SXB's.(You guys are loving theses. Very happy to see that.)

As for you irishluck. Iam sorry for not being there when you needed me. I hope you can understand. Though it seems you are one of a very few that where not able to get intouch with me about drivers and refuse to pay what other resellers are selling them at..But the majority of people seem to happily got there drivers from either Flyminpyro,DTR or Me.

So i apoligize for any trouble i caused in delaying your project but at the same time i hope you can understand my situation on why i had to take a break for a couple month so i can take care of things in the real world.

I will drop you a PM to finish your request from last we talk if your still.

For anyone that needs a driver that is out of stock from Flaminpyro or DTR and cant want till re-stock arrives by next week to them, please drop me a PM or email me through the forum system and ill happily take your order to get it out to you before then. :)

Thank You Guy's. I do appreciate all your orders and all the Great things you say about my drivers. It really makes me feel good to here good things.

Cheers

Good to see ya Lazeerer ! :) Reading between the lines it doesn't sound like much of a "break".
Glad your ok. I know I'm a new guy but when people treat me right I can't help but hope they are ok.
May the record reflect. During your absence I sent 2 Pm`s. One asking a question. 1 letting you know I found my answer. :)
Glad your back. Now get Jeff stocked up so I can get some drives. :)

Just for perspective……..Back when this board started, around the time of the first Kryton, there were NO driver boards available.

You could buy parts as a kit and solder yourself. And the guy selling the kits ripped off some people.

The "design your own" suggestion was great. You can't object to buying them if you don't know what is involved or are unwilling to try making yourself.

That being said, we have a great variety of parts to choose from at a decent price.
