Reading through these forums I haven't found a thread comparing these batteries so I thought to myself to start one. I found these on the CP foums. I did some research on these a couple months ago trying to find the best batteries for my LED 300 lumen flashlight and I found this thread. I don't know if this helps much, but I'll do it anyways.

I really think that LPF should have a sticky about 18650's...

Since the largest manufacturers of #18650 cells are . . .

Sanyo(Panasonic), LG, Samsung and Sony,

these test results are not even using the most plentiful cells.

I think only a couple of these may be "name-brand" cells,

but the rest are of chinese origin.

Yes, that is correct. It is pretty much a data compilation of the many 18650 batteries available. I just thought to post this up for everyone's information. Also, I think many laptop batteries are just 18650 cells connected together? :thinking:

I think you are right most lap top battries are made up of 18650 cells.
