Thumbs up (laser newbie) Anyone familiar with the power regulation circuits used in processors?

Greetings! Long time reader, long time PC repair technician and mad scientist; first time laser DIY.

Just checking to see if anybody is familiar with the power regulation daughterboard of Intel's Slot2 processors- They accept 5/12V input, and are rated for output up to 50W of super-clean 1.5V-2.8V (maybe more, digitally adjustable... as per PIII and Xeon spec) for those processors.

I've got some here in front of me, they look super nice But I'll have to figure out the exact I/O syntax... But Slot2 Xeons (make sure and get 5/12v type) are a dime-a-dozen.

(PCB on standoffs above CPU die)

Of great note: Pinout is CLEARLY stenceled on the back. Input, output, enable, OK, +, (-) and everything

Addendum: After exhaustive searching, I can't find Lucent's spec sheet, or anything on the small chip on the bottom- 24-pin DIP:

I've found some Sharp voltage regulators in a laser printer, and I'm sure there are plenty of LM### on motherboards and such.

the daughterboard looks like tiny smd inductors and smd mosfets to me. Dunno what's under the sticker, but the other chip may just be a programmable pic
