DTR has a link I believe to the Flexmod at his laser store, just Google "DTR laser store" and his site will come up first, I can't remember the exact web address at this time.

Thanks for the links,
I sent a email asking if they would supply the Flexmod with a Lasorb a couple of days ago to Illumination Supply LLC which i presume is DTR's laser store.
I have had no answer yet ? Maybe they are still on Holidays.
As a last case scenario I will have to Get the Flexmod from DTR and the Lasorb from Pangolin, Double postage.
Again thanks for your help.
Cheers:beer:

Illumination Supply is Craig, not Jordan.
DTR's link sends you to Craig's shop
He is also a good guy
He may still be at a big lighting show so he may be a little slow at responding right now

Peace,
dave

Yes, DTR just has a link to different sources on the drivers sale page. He is not affiliated otherwise As far as I know.

Just curious what your application is for these. The Flexmod has a few functions you most likely won't need if your building a simple handheld laser or similar. There are cheaper alternative drivers out there that are just as good, if not better, depending on what your end point is. The Lasorb is a cool little device but if you are building a handheld laser I can't see how this thing would benefit you much. It's unlikely that once you've got everything assembled you would get a static discharge through the LD. Even with swapping batteries you're likely to discharge any static through the body of the host unless you were carefully trying to place a battery in and specifically trying o discharge a pulse through the battery coming in contact with your driver lead. That's unlikely. I've never killed an LD with static before, even during the build process. I guess for $8 it's not big expense but I'm not convinced they are of much use for my applications. I can see where they may be useful for projector circuits.
Good luck with your project, whatever it is!

Hi,
Thanks for that info daguin.

Jmillerdoc
I need it as a Analog driver for laser engraving with a 445 blue laser diode, at the moment i have a TTL driver as a add on to my cnc machine.
TTL is fine for Dithered work but a Analog driver with a DAC allows grey scale
burning.
I am following this http://hobbycncart.com/forum/63-236-1 thread if you are interested.
I am a newby and learning as i go:confused:
Cheers

Very interesting. Looks like the Flexmod driver should work then and get the job done in a small package and budget. Are you using one of the 0mm diodes?
