My comment is this.................
It is a step down switching power supply.

We don't know the output noise ripple of the
supply or how it behaves.

Perhaps you could purchase it and test it on
an oscilloscope or test it using a few Laser
Diodes to see if the ripple will blow the LDs...

I just bought it for testing. Too bad i don't have an osciloscope. Once it arrives ill try to find a lab of engineering at my university, mine has only bacterias, useless for testing a psu.

I have one, I feed him 25V and it gives up to about 23V.
The precision is Ok, I can't measure ripple. I've tested many pen lasers with that one.
 
That voltage drop is expected. I'm worried about output current peaks that can burn my precious m140s
 
I have put it on a voltmeter, and it doesn't move at all. But for more precise readings oscilloscope is needed.
 
yes, when mine arrives ill try to use an osciloscope at one of my university's lab. The problem is I study medicine and i'll have to find an engineering lab, but i'm certain i'll be able to do it.
 
is this a learning exercise or are you trying to run a laser? there are already cheaper modules than that to be had, and they work just fine.

The supply should work fine for supplying a given laser diode or charging a Lithium ion cell.

However, if you make frequent adjustments,

the pots (variable resistors) will get more difficult to set.
