Driver Compilation Thread - All Drivers In Just One Thread!

Seeing that this section has been created, how about creating the DrT (Driver Thread, not to be confused with DT, Diode Thread)?

Any info, pictures, videos, etc. will help!

This is an excellent idea! I didn't notice this section had been added until just now (maybe it was added just now?) Anyways, all of dr. lava's drivers and the standard LM317 (daedal) driver are well known. If this thread does become the official one, update the OP with each driver instead of posting replies so that all the info is in one post

The Drivers should be divided by type...IMO

1) Linear Drivers
2) Boost Driver
3) Other

Linear:

Groove
Rkcstr


Boost:

Micro Boost
Flexdrive (they can boost, can't they?)
Micro Flexdrive

Direct Drive:

#24AWG copper wire

The name could be a Linearn or Boost Driver
which are a completely different Driver...

They should be classified by TYPE... IMO

Although an unbiased list of types of drivers; linear; buck/boost; boost only; (any other types?); is the obvious way to go, would it be appropriate for ask Dr.Lava and RKCSTR to add to this thread with specs, etc? I personally think that would be a necessary and valuable contribution but am aware it could be seen as an advert. How could this be done sensibly and avoid claims of unfairness?

Each of the Laser Dioide Driver suppliers could open his own sales thread
in the PRO B/S/T or regular B/S/T section..
This area should only be for info and discussions on using and problems
encountered and solutions... Not for Sales.... IMO

^Okay, they have those already so the sales bit is covered. I agree it shouldn't be a sale thread anyway but input for understanding is worthy and a specs sheet would do that. Suppliers will inevitably post when there are problems anyway so I thought I'd ask the question now rather than later so it can be mulled. I wouldn't want a helpful supplier to be knocked for an attempted ad when the intention was simply to aid.

I guess I'm really worrying about nothing as noone would knock them I think. Ignore me... Mountains and molehills, etc...

We must have all information hosted on LPF or free external servers, this way we don't have to rely on the manufacturer's server.
