Driver

So, this is silly of me to post a thread. And I will probably get crap from people saying, "Search on LPF for this information!" however, after an hour of searching, I cannot find answers. :banghead:

I recently built my first laser in a DIY kit from Survival Lasers. After some problems with a diode, it's finally built. However, I now want to build a laser from scratch. So, I am thinking about ordering a Cree flashlight/host from Deal Extreme and putting my own driver/diode/heatsink in. However, I don't understand how to put in a driver! :huh: Probably noobish, I know. A very detailed tutorial would be nice. Some of my questions are, how do the batteries make contact? If I order a linear driver, where to hook up the wires? And how does it sit in a pill? How does grounding work? Is the driver and battery contact board different? DTR helped me a bit with these, just not enough

Some answers would be amazing.

had the same host I'm using! Okay, so, diode > () driver > ()| < driver with contact board , batteries >>>>>>>> tailcap. Now, if I'm making it out of a flashlight host, I can use the built in battery contact board. And insert by own driver and diode (of course).
