Hey guys, i have recently been fed up with all the limited duty cycles of my more powerful lasers, so i have set out on the task to build a 2.5 watt + laser in a project box with near or unlimited duty cycle. I plan to use this project box:

With a cool light-up blue fan circulating the air inside

Now, i want to build a two drivers inside, one for the diode and one for the fan. As you know the one for the fan doesnt not have to be as precise. I just want to know what the circuit will be. a simple lm317 driver would work. I will be driving the circuit(s) off of a 12v power supply.

Here is the thing. Im no electronics whiz so i dont know which power supply will work well for me :D

I want to use this power suplly: FOR NEW 12V 1A AC DC 100 240V Power Supply Adapter 5 5 X 2 1mm US Plug 1000mA | eBay

It is 12v @ 1A. Will this work for driving a 9mm diode and a 40mm fan?

Before that though. I was wondering if someone would provide me with the structure of a simple laser driver circuit that could be feeded by the power supply above.

Sorry if i sound confused, im just, well, really confused!

Basically, im looking for a driver circuit that can take the input from the above power source, and put out about 2.3 amps. as well as another driver circuit drawing from the same power source that will power a 40mm fan.

Hope that made sense. Thanks guys!
