Default DC-DC Converter Board Step-Up Voltage Module 4-34V

Hi all

i found something on ebay
DC-DC Converter Board Step-Up Voltage Module 4-34V C51 | eBay

its quite interesting. with several configuration, maybe it can drive a 445nm laser

copy-paste from ebay:

Circuit features:

(1) volume exceed small: 32x34x20mm.
(2) input (3.7 V ~ 34V), output (3.7 V ~ 34V) and is currently in between adjust the same volume of DC circuit DC -, few can achieve so high voltage.
(3) maximum input current in 2A triple-a, it is recommended to use under the current, leave certain headroom. Power can reach about 15W, the highest efficiency can reach 90%.

Note:

(1) please use thick wire connection circuit. Clockwise and anti-clockwise voltage increase the voltage decreases.
(2) plus or minus cannot meet the input and output, the output cannot be short-circuited.
(3) the output voltage must limit in within 35V, otherwise, it will damage circuit.
(4) meet good power supply input, regulation again to his need voltage. Finally after load!
(5) with pressor type DC - is the input voltage DC circuit, so lower output voltage. To ensure the stability of the output voltage.
(6) input and output voltage as near the input current, input voltage of * * * * * * * * * efficiency = output voltage output current. Input and output voltage more close to the current output.

Note: this cannot be used in notebook use, notebook takes at least 60W power.

Output voltage and current of the relationship between different between different voltage pressor and the load; Can output is different; the maximum current also Through testing, make a manager form.

Could it drive a 445 most likely, could it drive a 405, most likely, would it fit in a single cell or double cell host...NOT likely, the only hosts that boost converter would fit is project enclosure or if you wanted a labby to be battery operated thats it, most of the drivers that are used are sub 20mm.

Also I'd bet the max output current is 500mA.

Yea, ebay has alot of interesting stuff out there. Here would be a good 12x driver for less than 5.00 usd shipped http://cgi.ebay.com/DC-DC-Step-Up-Bo...item4cf8901588

Here would be another super buy... this would be wayy more efficent then all the linear drives on this site for stepping down power.. its tiny also.

http://cgi.ebay.com/10x-3A-DC-DC-ste...item3cbae6ba24

What someone should develop (I would and will.... when I get the time) is a very tiny current sink board. Aka a tiny board that would work as a current limiter so you could hook up any of these cheapish voltage supplies and have a constant current supply.

Oh, and heres the an almost equivalent of a flexmod p3 driver for under 10 bucks with free shipping http://cgi.ebay.com/LM2596-DC-DC-Ste...item335fab5c16

has the constant current feature... just the min input voltage is abit high.

True but the 1st 2 you listed still are a bit big the 1st one especially it would be the equivalant of slim P3, since its using a to-220 transistor and some 100uF+ caps, the 2nd one would be close but it looks like it still requires external parts.

yea, it would require an external current sink for constant current regulation but you could make one of those pretty small.

I'm jsut refering to the dimensions of the devices linked each are 20mm min unless some one was going to use a C or D mag light sized host, most are <20mm ID.
