Hello, Ive bought a Xtar 18650 battery 2600mAh and a cheap charger. Battery works well but when I try to charge it the led indicator starts blinking red. Any ideas what should be wrong?

Im gonna buy nitecore digicharger d4... I'd use the cheap charger only till I get the nitecore d4. It must be something wrong with the charger... Battery should be fine

Those cheap chargers are worthless. You're better of waiting until you get the Nitecore, cheap chargers can be really dangerous as shown in the thread I linked

Also, the standard cheap charging chip blinks red until charged, at which point, solid green.

If you have a voltmeter, it might be worth while to monitor the cell when using that free charger. Anything higher than 4.2V across the battery, then remove power and wait until better charger shows up.

Ideally, you would be able to wait until your i2 or i4 shows up before charging your cell.
