Charging cr123 batteries

Ok I have this charger

and I wanted to know if I could stack two CR123A batteries in one charging space because the only other way they will fit is with spacers which I don't have right now. I noticed that when I put them in for a second both indicator lights turn on which would lead me to believe that the charger recognizes that it has 2 batteries in one slot. So yea anyone know if this is safe.

PS- Does anyone know of anything that would work well as DIY spacers until I can get some.

The answer is no, this charger is made to charge the lithium batteries batteries
at 4.2V, if you put 2 CR123A in the same slot will not be charged to the proper
voltage, because 2 cr123 batteries in series have more voltage than the charger provides.

I have not got this charger, then I can not ensure that the following manipulation work,
but you can try make the bridges proposed in the DX page for make the horizontal charging slots work.

Note: Anyway I don't know what voltage have your batteries, because the rechargeable CR123 you can
find at 3v or 3.6V, if these batteries that you have, are 3v, personally do not advise using this charger.

for future reference, never charge CR123A cells. Only Lithium Ion cells are designed to be recharged.

At the very least, please refer to secondary 16340 cells as RCR123A and primary 16340 cells as CR123a. Confusion in this situation could be the difference between a happy laser and a burnt down house. Ok, kind of extreme example, but very possible.

Thanks for the advice and info. The CR123's I am trying to charge
are 3.6V. I'll probably just use paper clips as spacers for now. Despite all the magnets I have hanging around I don't have any that are the right size or shape to use as spacers. Hell I even have 2 of these magnets from united nuclear but nothing small enough for this application.

PS These magnets can lift several hundred pounds and break bones if two of them snap together........... I love them.

I'm talking about rechargeable CR123A batteries. I assumed that because I was talking about charging them everyone would know they were rechargeable. LoL I would never charge disposables.

Yea united nuclear has all sorts of crazy stuff like that. Apparently someone tried to file a negligence lawsuit against united nuclear after the person left these magnets on a work bench and his 7 year old son had his hand crushed in them. You gotta love the way people try to blame others for there own stupidity. If I had kids I wouldn't leave these things laying around they would be under lock and key.

I have a sperate charger for my 123As but for my RCR2s I've used the back of an Aixiz module as a spacer fine with that charger until I finally ordered a WF-188 (I think that's the number. I can never remember it) that can take damned near any LiIon battery. Since 123As are longer you may have to use something a bit shorter like the front half of the module which I've used as well.
