Hey everyone,

I'm thinking about starting up a "BatteryPowerForum.com" but I would like to see who would be interested. I know there are a lot of good places online for battery information, but I think that batteries are so broad that a forum just for them would be useful.

Let me know if you are interested, and I will go ahead and start getting the ball rolling!

Thanks!

I think this would be a good idea. I always see some new members asking:

-Where can I find good batteries?
-What kind of batteries do I need?
-Are these batteries good quality?
-Etc...

A forum could help answer most/all questions and help others become more familiar with the *fascinating* world of batteries

Thanks for the feedback, I will get working on that this week. The only problem is finding a way to raise the money for vBulletin. Do you think it would be OK to start off the forum using some free forum software so users can get acquainted and then maybe donate?

I'm interested, let us know how it goes! :)

You might also get some popular li-ion retailers to support you.

I think that sounds good.
You start off small, then receive donations from members, purchase more expensive software and slowly grow the forum :)

Thanks! Any ideas of who to ask for donations/ad space? Maybe FourSevens, FenixStore... what other companies might be interested in supporting a battery forum?

The hardest part is getting traction, growing the forum.

I wouldn't worry about funding until you need some serious servers.

Keep us updated if anything new happens :p

Will do. I'm just a college student, so I'll wait until payday (Thursday) until I do anything. Hopefully I can get a domain registered. Any recommendations?

what do you like better?
batterypowerforums.com
batterypoweredforums.com

any other suggestions?
