Anthony I don't need to see your current files, I believe you that the new ones are different. All I'm saying is that the green one which I believe is the one you have been selling has so many similarities that certain didn't occur by chance. The inductor isn't the problem (just adds to it) the problem is all the things on the front too. Actually I just notice you are not only using the same inductor, but also using the same eagle package for it too.

Anyways, if you have moved on to a new design I don't care anymore. As long as you aren't selling a copy I have no problems. :beer:

Ok, that one is not being sold anymore... I'm working on the pot version now, which is different... in every way except the IC, i think i found a different inductor too! :) now the packages too??? seriously? well is the 1206 caps a problem??? does it need to be 0603 now?

i am not going to start disagreeing it will only further keep this going & i wish not for that to happen...
thanks :beer:

Random note;

You guys could seriously lower the FB voltage on both of your drivers by adding a current sense op amp somewhere on the board. By doing so you can get sense voltages lower than like 40 mV, thus greatly increasing your efficiencies and drop out voltages.

PLUS, you'll also get the added benefit of high side current sensing, allowing you to use whatever case diode you wish, case negative, neutral or positive.

That's true & a very interesting thought :) only thing is it will have to get bigger then :p
But it would make a very efficient boost driver :)

When the sense voltage is already only 190mv you don't get that much benefit to efficiency, but the next version of the benboost will have high side current sensing.

The biggest benefit would be the continuous negative in my opinion... It's one less wire to hook up To the diode :)

AnthoT, I have been waiting for you to finish your pot driver for me to finish my build, any updates?

Apologies for the slow reply :)

It takes a Long time to develop drivers. I'm working on it
