Very nice....
I would also like to see the SS scoped output...

impressive! I'd be interested also in what DTR asked, esp. input current at Vin of as low as 2.6V.

The circuit was not designed to work with voltages below 3V.

Here is a video clip showing current regulation. In the video I didn't drop the voltage below 3.2V as the power supply current started to max out there.

There seems to be about 10-20mA variation in output current over the 3.2-4.2V range. I'm still trying to figure out why...

Efficiency is around 82% at 3.7V input.

3.7A @ 3.2V, I can do that. Quite frankly, I'm glad it doesn't go down to 2.7V.

If you are actually going to produce these, might I suggest a low voltage cutoff function? I'm assuming these were meant to power a load off of a single Lithium secondary source? You wouldn't want it allowing the cell to drain at rates higher than what is safe for the cell. I.e. at <3V, does it just cut out completely, or does it keep trying to boost?

Hi,

I am not Chinese scammer.
I personally looked for a solution to this problem.
I used a TPS63020, the tests are conclusive, but I have problems mounting and cooling. My question was inter technique. I would expect that the product is available.

Thank you
Olivier (From Belgium).
Ps: Sorry for bad english.

Reporting Spam is one thing , but assuming that he is scamming because he wants to know which IC another user is using in his build hardly makes him a "chinese scammer" .

First, thats a racist, prejudice remark and if anything a violation of TOS and a real reason to be banned.

Dont get butt hurt because this was your doing.

i was being sincere actually... but whatever also my butt doesn't hurt my chair is
quite comfortable

but right here what im about to say is very sincere, if you took that as me being racist i am VERY VERY sorry. its a common thing to say around here...

i have edited it out so no one else will take offense, i truly mean it when i say it im sorry

i also said i could be wrong in my last post Oliviers later post were much more sophisticated and that's why i no longer questioned him he also said he understood while i found it strange...i did jump to conclusions after his first post i admit that

the way im reading your post right now is you just continuing to troll me after i admitted my wrong doing

EDIT im going to stop craping it your thread sorry OP

TO OP that driver looks very cool allot of the flexdrive alternatives we have seen are much less stable as the voltage input drops. i look forward to seeing the final product...sorry for rudely derailing your thread i think all of us can delete posts if you wish as IMO this issue is resolved...

Don't worry about the off-topic posts.

I'm going to be offline for about two weeks, but then it's back to business. I'm receiving more parts then and will be refining the design some more. I do hope this design will be much cheaper than two flexdrives for 445nm high power builds. I will see about low voltage cut-off. It should be possible. It is just hard trying to get an efficient driver that will fit on a small pcb, and being able to deal with heat and poor power sources.

Does anyone know what the highest input power for a single 445nm diode has been to date?

I'm using Linear Technologies ic's.

1.8 amps is the max people push these diodes so X-1.8 amps would work fine I guess
