Yup, it is odd... for some reason having a flashlight at night is suspicious. Or if you're just outside in general.

I mean honestly, was there ever a thief that went out, and thought "Well geez, I need to be discreet, let me grab the flashlight that can light up the whole block, and let everyone in the neighborhood know someone is around in the house that's supposed to be empty."

The sure sign of a photon addict I suppose. I sold 7 lights this past week or so, but also ordered three :tinfoil:

Eagletac SX25L3 MTG2, Armytek Wizard Pro Wide XM-L2, and Sunwayman C21C are on the way. Only meant to get the headlamp but... well... maybe I need professional help

Will do... I expect I'll like them plenty.

The Sunwayman just peaked my curiosity... not the least because it's really pretty small. The Eagletac I got in part because I hope Vinh can mod it to bring up to a proper 3000 or so lumens. Maybe dedome it too.

As for the armytek... I'm sorely lacking in the headlamp department. I would have preferred to wait for the new ZL headlamps to come out, but camping trip is coming up in two weeks, and given past track record with ZL, it wouldn't surprise me if the headlamps don't come out for a month longer.

Headlamps?! Dude what are those? Who uses them!? Take your lights and man handle them, strap them to your head and BOOM! Im getting a headband for my Barracuda, now thats a headlamp!

Ive never seen that C21C and yeah the Eag would be a cool mod host, if ya dont mind me asking, how much are those two lights?

I felt the same way until I tried out the h502 headlamp around the house. The more even distribution of light & keeping your hands free is a major plus.

I can't see myself using a headlamp for distance, for obvious reasons, but I do think they serve a good purpose in up close lighting.

Got a special price on the ET. The Sunwayman was from IlluminationSupply with the illumination code.

Suffice it to say too much :tinfoil:

I received today, and just tested outside the Eagletac SX25L3 MTG2.

Overall it is a very solid and well designed light.

If you're in the market for just one very solid premium quality, but not very overpriced light, I would recommend it.

If you're a flashaholic and want to try something new. This is not the light for you.

The reason being is it's a light that is a jack of all trades, but master of none.

In terms of output, given the ratings of my other flashlights I feel confident that the the ~2400 lumen rating is accurate.

In terms of throw I'd say it's edges out the SRK slightly.

In terms of flood it loses to the SRK.

In terms of beam profile, there is a better defined nice round beam, with no artifacts. The transition from hotspot to spill is noticeable, but not at all jarring.

The UI is excellent. The build quality superb.

I highly suggest ordering the Kit version of this light because it comes with a second tailcap that has a rear switch. This rear switch allows you to control the light in the same exact way from the rear as with the side button.

Both switches are electronic, not mechanic, as such there has to be some standby drain, but given it's 3x18650 I highly doubt it will ever be an issue.

It will fit even the longest protected panasonic 3400mAh batteries easily.

I'd rate the light design as a 9/10. There is really no good reason why it can't be somewhat smaller and shorter.

I do have two gripes about the "Kit" while the second tailcap with switch is by itself worth it (imho) the holster, and the color filters are not.

The holster is open topped with just a plastic rib to hold the light in place. I find it awkward to take it out, and put it back in. I also don't find it to be all that secure.

The color filters are plastic, and not of a high quality. In order to install one you have to take off the stainless steel bezel, thereby exposing the lens. It is also easy to cross thread and ruin the threading on the plastic lens retaining ring.

It would have been a simple matter to extend the bezel by another 2mm, extend the threading of the plastic filter retainer by 2mm, and allow the filter to be screwed on top of and into the steel bezel.

All in all, a very good solid light, but I can't wait to get it modded, and will be thinking hard about whether to keep the dome on, or get rid of it. On the one hand the dome helps with the overall output somewhat. On the other hand, without the dome, the light would have more throw, but still with a rather wide beam. Decisions decisions :undecided:

Too bad i don't use it so much,
Bought the whole set and spare bulbs, but i don't think i'll ever get to replacing it ^^

Think i might sell it some day :(

Turn this thing on and you have people around you in no time thinking it's the cops looking for someone.

I know france special forces use it...

Received the Armytek Wizard Pro Wide, and Sunwayman C21C from Illumination Supply yesterday.

The Armytek Wizard Pro Wide has been discussed a lot, so I won't go into it much, except to say it could use two changes;

-Lower low moonlight.

-Recessed and easier to press button. (The button is VERY hard to press.)

Other than that, it's a very solid good light. UI takes a bit of getting used to, but it's not too bad once you figure it out. I have a feeling I will be doing a catch & release with this headlamp... it was my fallback position, and I had hoped Zebralight would have their headlamps out already.

The Sunwayman C21C is by far the more interesting of the two lights. It's deceptively small for a 18650 flashlights. Not quite the size of the Zebralight SC600, but very close.

The Good;

-Build quality is excellent, and finish is HAIII.

-Machining is good, and I can find no flaws/burrs anywhere.

-The Threads are square cut.

-Very interesting design with a lot of potential.

-Red LED is surprisingly bright.

-The light from the Red LED is extremely evenly distributed. You can use this light as a red headlamp!

The Bad;

-This light has - no mode memory if you switch between the white and red LEDs.

(The light will always start on Turbo/High when you switch from one LED to the other.)

-Accidental activation is too easy... button is not recessed, and easy to press. It stands out from the body of the flashlight and will turn on if pressed against a flat surface.

-No Headlamp attachment/strap. This light is for all intents both a flashlight, and a red headlamp.

-No true Low modes, with either LED. 14 lumens of red is surprisingly bright! From the main xml2 LED, on lowest mode, I was also able to read a book from the ceiling bounce. Way way too bright to be considered a true low.

-Red dome is plastic, and I have a feeling it will get scratched up.

What I would absolutely love to see is Sunwayman develop this design somewhat more. Recess the button, maybe add a second button to control the secondary LED. Add mode memory, and most of all, add a headlamp strap & attachment.

In my eyes, these relatively minor changes would result in it being an absolute must have light.

I almost owned a Niwalker until they got a stick shoved way up their butt and decided to be a prick. Oh harsh language....sorry, until they decided to be an immature teen hitting her time of the month and having guy problems!!!!!

 I almost owned two of them. Oh well.

Note to self for next time though... instead of telling people to go copulate with themselves vigorously, I'll tell them to kindly jump off the nearest tall building. Preferably into a river, or forest area so nature can take it's course, and no further cleanup is needed.

I wouldn't be too surprised if they try to bend over backwards now to fix things, but screw it... they had their chance. Twice.

If they fix it and give a better deal I might get one but only so Vinh can do his work. I wont ever buy a stock Niwalker product.

Vinh is the only reason id buy that light, I need a floody beast ;)
