Man the RC40 seems pretty nice, i just can't justify spending £300 on a light when i have the TK70 already :(

I won't be upgrading from the TK75. There is a clear difference, I just don't think it's a difference worth double the price.

They released it with XMLU2 in it :(

It would probably hit over 4000 lumens, if they upgraded the lights to the latest LEDs.

Sorry if this is kinda off topic but thought i'd share; after talking about the Fenix big boys here i took mine out as i haven't in a while, went to a quiet spot with two of my mates to have a play about with our flashlights and we ended up getting reported for trying to steal a caravan (we parked next to it didn't even touch it) and we spent 12 hours in a cell overnight to be let out with no charges.
Funny thing was that as soon as they saw all three of us had torches they arrested us straight away. Thought i'd share just as a heads up as i wasn't aware that carrying a flashlight at night in the UK was illegal...
(Just to add insult to injury i told them i collected flashlights and had about 5-10 police ripping the piss outta me all night and got asked by one of them if i have mental issues..)

This is why I don't use even my DRY 3x XM-L outside that often. I stick to an EDC sized light, surefire 6P is about as big as I'll carry.

Logically though 6P sized light is actually better equipment for someone wishing to commit a crime.

I mean would a robber set off a flare... the DRY would have the same effect.

We're talking about getting in trouble with the law, this has nothing to do with logic :eg:

I believe the less "godly" your light is, the less likely a big-headed PO is gonna wanna teach you a lesson.

It shouldn't have mattered, it isn't illegal to use a flashlight outside at night. (YET!)

Nice :)

Let us know how that penlight is, too. I'm curious if it will be a pain to disassemble or not as well ;-)

Thanks, erns!

Received the Thrunite Archer 1A today - haven't even turned it on yet. Can't wait for it to get dark.

If anyone is interested, I will be selling a number of lights. I owe a bit more than I expected to, to the IRS...

EA4W for $43 shipped anywhere in the US. It's like new, works perfectly.

One modded, and one stock Skyray Kings. The modded Skyray King is gold, a Fandyfire clone. The stock SR King is black. Both work perfectly, and both are ridiculously bright.

Palight V60 (from CNQ) Like new.
Jetbeam M2S with Extension tube.
Elektrolumens Big Bruiser with two 22650 keeppower protected batteries.
Balder HD1 (Lighthound version)
Crelant v11a

Well, if you get 600 lumens from it, consider that to be a big win.

For the price there are many, many, better lights out there, but this being your first you'll probably enjoy it a lot.

Just be aware, that on a lot of these zoomie style lights, there is really no connection between the star on which the LED sits, and the host. This means if the light feels hot, TURN IT OFF. Otherwise it can literally desolder itself.

It's also not waterproof... or even close to it, so don't try dunking it.

Next time buy one of these instead... $9.45 UltraFire SK98 XM-L T6 3-Mode 600-Lumen Zooming LED Flashlight - 1 x 18650 / with clip at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
