thats a pretty big driver, and yeah they kinda do look small bases for the emitters! wouldn't want to blow any and have to reflow new emitters on them. though it might be kinds cool to had like the outside emitters a warmer temp and keep the centers cool.

no, I'm using old laptop 18650's....

I'll probably pick up 3 new 26650 batteries for it....

for 1 pcs of CREE XM-L XML T6 LED , the biggest brightness is 1000 Lm ,and I agree with you, this UltraFire is not 13800 Lumen

no, it's not nearly that much.

However, I did work a roll over motor vehicle accident with ejection last night. It worked quite well to light up the entire field while I was was working on the guy.
I put the fire department to shame. My $65 chinese flashlight was brighter than all of their $200 flashlights combined.

Grab yourself some 26650's along with a high wattage driver and you'll have a killer flash light.

Is it a buck or linear driver? What's the actual current draw from 3x18650s?
