---------------------------------------------

The ThruNite Catapult V2 XM-L T6 is the second version of 3 that was made. The ThruNite Catapult V2 replaced the ThruNite Catapult V1 that used a SST-50 Led. The V2 re-designed the new driver with no MCU to accept higher input voltage and current.

An automatic overheat shutdown function was added. At 120°C or 240°F it will shut down. I have read from some others who have the V2 say their lights haven't reached that temperature and shut down. That means the V2 must have a very good heat sink.

The ThruNite Catapult V2 is made of 7075 Aircraft Aluminum. Most of the other manufacturers use the more affordable 6061 Aircraft Aluminum.

A ThruNite Catapult V3 was made about one month after I purchased the V2. If I knew a V3 was coming out I would have waited. The V3 is supposed to be brighter than my V2 using an XM-L T6 Led.

The ThruNite Catapult V2 is built very well. The threads are smooth. No square threads though. The Type III Hard Anodize is excellent. All parts match. No flaws in the finish.

The ThruNite Catapult V2 feels kind of hefty in my hands. Thick battery tubes.

The beam tint of the XM-L T6 Col White (CW) is just like the other XM-L T6 CW's I have. White hot spot surrounded by a a very slight green tint.

The Stainless Steel Bezel is a nice touch. Version 1 had an aluminum bezel.

I asked Going Gear about if the Asia Version was different the US version and I was told they are the same.

I purchased the light from Going Gear for the price of $134.95 with the CPF discount
