No problem, FastTech seems like a first class distributor, on top of DX.

They're expanding their inventory upon our product requests, so in my opinion, it's pretty sweet.

Yeah I sent a request the other day for the DIY c6 and said they will let me know when its available, and I got a 50mw 532nm module that I was able to pot mod to 80-90 me stable not bad for <$10 there's a link in my sig. Also don't forget your coupon code blf, or launch for 5% :)

Sorry for getting off topic.

Well, I'm glad to see you got the real thing.

Myself, I'm a bit conflicted... The SkyRay I have has qualities of both the genuine, and the copy. I bought it from manafont for IIRC ~$45.

It has the old driver. It has the same button, same cooling fins spacing, and spacing on the back design. The LED's are centered ok, perfect for two, a little, little, bit off for one.

It also has that ridiculously glossy bezel though.

I have the Black CW version coming from fast tech, and a black NW version coming from fancy flashlight, aka CNQ/Ric.

Hopefully there won't be any major differences between the CNQ version which is definitely genuine, and the other two.

The manafont version, even if it's not genuine... still a fantastic light I'm very happy with.

Well looks like I got a dud. I decided to give aurobuy a try. I got the light a couple of weeks ago but hadn't had a chance to try it due to lack of button top 18650s. I finally got my batteries in the mail today, charged them up, put them in the light and....nothing!

I assume there isn't a trick to turning the light on??

No, just insert charged batteries in, screw in tight, and that's it.

Make sure that there is good contact between the battery holder, and the plate on top... on the one I got from fasttech, it flickered a bit... all it took to fix was half a second of cleaning the edge making contact, and adding a little grease. (Grease just because I can't stand when threads have any kind of grinding feel to them.

Btw, just as an update, I now have three skyrays - the one from CNQ does seem to be a bit better made, but, not worth extra vs what you pay at fasttech.

Well if you want to sell one of them let me know. It's not worth the cost to try and return this one. :(

I have two on hand, one is being modded, and one is in the mail...

The two I have, there is a new driver inside and smaller resistor... still basically the same, but they do put out a bit more than they did stock. One is going to my brother for his birthday.

I really don't need three skyrays though, so yeah if you can wait ~2 weeks, I'll definitely sell you one. Most likely the gold one, it's actually the brightest, by a very small margin, but, well it's freaking gold:p I like my lights black or gray.

That will work and gold is fine. The dead one I have is gold too.

Re: Sky Ray King 3xXM-L 4x18650 from Aurabuy

Thanks for pointing that out.

I concluded that mine is genuine, after comparing it with these pictures from this post: Skyray King (3xXML, 4x18650 Fatty) | BudgetLightForum.com

The 1st is genuine, while the 2nd one is fake.

The SkyRay is most likely going to be my next light, after the Convoy M1.

Great review! +1

3800 lumens... right. Most of the better samples tend to be around 2000 lumens. It's also xmlt6, which is now getting a bit long in the tooth.

This would be your best for getting a good SRK: SKY RAY KING Black Color 3xCREE XM-L2 U2 1B/T6 3C 2500-Lumen Flashlight_SKY RAY Flashlights_Electronics Wholesale online

Lowest price shipped, with tracking is $61.31.

If you're interested I have a black xmlu2 version I wouldn't selling. After getting two very similar lights (Supfire M6's) I don't have a use for it anymore.
