Trying not to be too far off topic, but I've got a question about batteries for the 7G2CS.
I was looking at the Panasonic ncr1860B 3400mAh as being one of the best choices.
Then I came across the "new" Panasonc ncr18650PD "high discharge cell" at 2900mAh's.

Would these be better, or would the 3400mAh's be fine in this flashlight?
Thanks for any advice. :yh:

BTW - MD Lightsource shipped my order within 2hrs. of it being placed!
So far..... excellent service!

@ I.E. - I hope they are paying you a good commision for all the sales you've brought them! :D

The 7G2CS will run better on two 16340 or 18350 batteries, as opposed to one 18650. The difference is not big, but it's there.

Personally I use the protected Panasonic ncr1860B 3400mAh batteries from fasttech.

Do not get the keeppower protected 18350 batteries for it. They will not fit.

Thanks for the advice, :) I have a couple of 16340's I can tryout.

I think I'll order some of those protected Panasonic ncr18650B 3400mAh batteries. Fasttech does seem to have some decent prices; as long as you can wait on them.

I assume since you use the protected cells, that there is no problem with the fit?

Actually I'm a bit peeved with FT right now. I placed a large order with them 2/22. It took them over a week to get the larger part of it out.

Unfortunately, now over a month later I'm still waiting for about $50 worth of stuff. If I don't get a tracking number by tuesday... opening a dispute.

I assume since you use the protected cells, that there is no problem with the fit?

It's a bit snug in terms of length, but not a problem at all.

I just got mine out of the mail box. Less than 3 days from Texas, not to shabby.

So far, very good light, great build quality! It took me a couple of minutes to figure out how to get it in the low power "candle" mode; just hold the side switch down until it dims to it's minimum output.

THANKS to - wannaburnstuff for the great review, & to I.E. for all your help with my questions. BTW - that V6CS looks great, probably would have bought it, if I hadn't ordered the other one first.

A +1 to both of you!!!

thanks for the link i want more. i want that 7G5CS with the Aspheric collimator but there sold out.

I do have a question though. mine and Wannaburns flashlight doesn't have the logos in the same places and the web site pictures or others i've seen around the web. could this be signs of clones? it's kinda weird though.

Some of yall must excrete money from your pores.....

On the other hand, I have been thinking....and:
1. The 7G2CS would make for a great laser host....and
2. The ramping driver would be awesome for changing the outputs of lasers provided that:
______a. You don't have any current spikes and
______b. You could alter the driver to remove SOS/Strobe settings and
______c. Change the Current Output.....assuming it is current based and not voltage based......
_____________i. I hear LED's are voltage based......but
_____________ii. I could be wrong.

Hope that made sense....what do yall think? OTHER than I need sleep.....

Thanks,
Isaac

I'm actually kind of a miser in most other respects... I drive a ten year old car with 185+ thousand miles on it... but when it comes to lasers and flashlights, I have a hard time saying no :p

I like the lights too much as they are to turn them into lasers... not sure how the driver/ramping would work with a laser diode.

Ditto on sleep... 3am, need to be up at 8am... time for a nap.
