I purchased the Olight SR90 Intimidator SST-90 from FlashlightsNgear.
I got the light on a July 4, 2010 sale $62.00 discount! Free shipping! I would have never purchased the Olight SR90 Intimidator if it wasn't for the sale.
I'm glad I got the SR90! It's the brightest LED type light I own!
Sorry I don't own a HID.
The threads are very smooth.
The finish is Type III Hard Anodize Black which is excellent.
The Olight SR90 Intimidator SST-90 comes with a case.
SMO Reflector
Uses a SST-90
Rear view of the head
Reverse clickie switch located on the head. 3 level switch. Hold down the SR90 goes from high to low. Double fast click to strobe.
The logo is printed on the head.
The battery pack uses 6 18650 Lithium Rechageable Batteries with a charging socket on the back. The charging socket has a rubber cover. 4 indicator lights tell you the state of charge in the batteries. The white switch is the button you push. The inidicator lights stay on for 5 seconds.
(1). 1 indicator on: 20% -40% power remains
(2). 2 indicators on: 40% -60% power remains
(3). 3 indicators on: 60% -80% power remains
(4). 4 indicators on: 85%+ power remains
(5). No indicators on means batteries with less than 20% power remains and need charging
This is the cap that is on the front of the battery pack.
Remove the cap this is the front of the battery tube.
Knurling on the battery tube.
This is the AC Charger
The jack the plugs into the battery tube. You can charge the battery with the head on or off.
While charging the indicator light is red . A green indicator light turns on when fully charged.
Carrying strap
The two clip attachment rings rotate on the SR90
Output & Runtime: Two brightness levels and strobe mode
(1). High Mode: 2200 Lumens / 80 Minutes
(2). Low Mode: 700 Lumens / 9 Hours
(3). Strobe: 10 Hz/160 Minutes
