Yeah I really only wanted to get a hold of The_LED_Museum to ask him something. But I'm over it.

Many people over there carry their attitude home from work with them. An attitude of "I know better than you, no matter what." They also really like their surefires.

There are still plenty of good peoples there, great metalworkers, great flashlight modders, etc.

I didn't realize the rule had gone up from 2 post moderation.

As far as a surefire vs. a ultrafire C1, I have a surefire 6P defender and an ultrafire C1. The quality of the metalwork and anodizing, the threads, the fitment of the parts, all are noticeably better on the surefire than the c1. However, drop a malkoff in a C1 and use a stock surefire bulb and there's no comparison. Heck, even a no-name LED dropin from DX or KD still kicks ass.

Very tempted to donate a Surefire to the blending, just to rub it in a bit more.

Don't necessarily even need to do that, perhaps just suggesting it to them will be enough? Perhaps if hundreds of people suggested it in a short time-frame, blendtec would take notice and do it (or think it's a joke and ignore it - there's the risk of that too).

Would make a nice battle though, the surefires are meant to be pretty tough but so is the blender...

That would be an excellent idea for the "Why?" box, test a Surefire 6P against a Blendtec blender, see which is really stronger.

That blender will never be able to blend a Surefire. It's a solid chunk of aluminum.

The only problem I ever had at CPF was that apollo cree guy.... he kinda gets on my nerves. But otherwise I never had a problem. The mods approved me for posting after my first thread (I'm not sure how that process works) and as long as you don't ask too many questions (or at least ask some new ones) people don't seem to mind. And they actually have some really smart people over there IMO, they know all sorts of tricks and equations about stuff, not to mention they have a decent knowledge of practical electronics application. I think as long as you do your first couple posts right and don't mention any cheap light companies you're fine.
