A little Acetone splashing on your skin might dry out a bit. Nothing a squirt of lotion can't fix.

And... What about the people that use finger nail polish remover as... finger nail polish removal?

lol imagine how ironic it would be if nail polish remover (acetone) was dangerous to contact skin

LoL.... I was going for "especially your eyes" but ended up in left field instead. I need to stay off the keyboard while hypoglycemic (took my insulin..didn't eat in time)

When that happens, I use acetone (fingernail polish remover) in a hypodermic needle ( like from a printer ink refill kit)......inject the acetone a small amount at a time, then twist.

Just be careful not to get acetone on any plastic and especially yourself (Use extreme caution). This has worked for some flashlights....some actually got obliterated :D

Can i use nail polish remover to help remove some of the glue holding in my modular..like dip a q-tip in it and let it eat away. Check out the picture...the red lines point to where some glue is

I guess you could, if there's no way to simply push the module out.

Good thing they have an aluminium heatsink around the module

Perhaps you can try pushing the module along with the heatsink out of the host alltogether, and then cut the aluminium heatsink from two sides with a saw or dremel and free the module. It's what I once did.

If your module is glued into the host your job just got much more difficult.
If you remove that warranty sticker, is there a seam underneath where 2 pieces of the body are screwed together?

Well... I'm out of ideas. Take a good look at the exterior surface looking for possible seams. If it was machined well joints may be difficult to see. Look at the anodizing, if you notice that there is a subtle change in color or surface texture it may indicate a seam.

I think this is how your laser is put together:
The body is just tube. That ring was inserted with a press and will not move. Your module was inserted from the battery side and then glued in place with the three dots of glue.

Look here
to get an idea of what I'm talking about. The difference being that my module was held in with a retaining ring , and was pushed in from the front.

I do not think yours will come apart without destroying the tube, and possibly damaging the green module in the process. Do you have a sharp pipe cutter?

Can you reach the foam easily with tweezers?

Since you don't care about the host anyway, use a pipe cutter to shorten the battery tube so that you can easily reach the foam & driver.
