The best light you can buy for under $100? I'm going to say anything made by 4Sevens, as it is my favorite manufacturer.

If I knew what I know now, I would have gotten Quark AA² Tactical Green Packaging 4Sevens.Com but I'm stuck with my fenix ld20 for now.

absolutely. I've never bought anything from them, but I've heard nothing but good and they have cheap WARM WHITE leds, which is basically the best you can get. Warm white is better than cool white for 99% of people, and often these cheap DX lights use cool white LEDs that just suck in terms of color rendition: a spectrograph would show them spiking at blue and yellow, which are NOT natural colors.

I assumed he meant brightest... I'd go with Jetbeam for quality per dollar. They have some really sweet torches! Also, everyone check out goinggear.com- I know many CPFers rate them along with 4sevens.

Goinggear is a supplier.... 4sevens is a manufacturer. 4sevens makes their own flashlights.

Oh, I didn't catch that, sorry. 4sevens is really good as a manufacturer, but to me it seems like they are missing some variety. It seems like so far they don't have any bigger lights, and only one design for the ones they have (Quark and Preon).

Nice update according my order :)

Hello DJNY,

Sorry for the delay.

So would you like a replacement of sku 32591 or get a refund?

As for the postage fee $23.8 ,is it ok to save it as store credit for future use?

Please advise.

DX actually has really good customer service and followup, the only problem is that quality control isn't any better; they might send you something worst than the first one. lol

The most powerful, smallest light is the Lumapower Incendio V3 with the Cree R5. It must be the R5 version. It puts out 370 lumens, runs on a single RCR123 or 16340, and is not much larger than your thumb. Only $50. LumaPower IncenDio V3 LED Flashlight 1XCR123A w. Cree R5 370 lumens or Q3 150 lumens - on 1 x RCR123a!

The most potent thrower for the money as of about a week or two ago is now the Lumapower Mini-D VX Ultra with the Turbo Force head for it. The head is what just came out, the light has been out for a few months. It's only 550 lumens, but it will out throw just about any light under $300. It's like a laser beam.

Light:
LumaPower D-Mini VX ULTRA 550 Lumens on 1 x 18650 or 1 x RCR123A

Turbo Force head:
LumaPower Turbo Force Kit w/ Smooth Reflector - Fits: D-Mini VX Ultra

This is a shot being aimed at a water tower way across the town. In the photo before this, the tower was completely dark and not visible. You can vaguely notice the beam pointing there:

Those lights are super cool.... I wonder if the 370 lumens is torch lumens or emitter lumens. I really like small lights, but I always want more power. Lately I've been using the 180lm mode on my fenix for basically everything, and that's the brightest I have.
